Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing
“Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing”
by Nicole Costa
I’m not
The competition
Your own mind
Is the enemy
No need
To set up shop
On my media
As a frenemy
If you don’t like
My boundaries
Now’s the time
To leave
Let me get the door
For you
Cause I have everything
That I need
Peace
And
Unconditional love
Here on the jungle floor
Until you learn
To come at me right
I’ll be holding
Out for more
I don’t need your hate
I set fire to my own
I don’t care
What Master you serve
The central theme
Is always LOVE
So if you aren’t
Practicing
What you’re
Preaching
I’ll journey on
And
Rise above
Even Jesus said
If you are not received
Shake the dust up
Off of your feet
So excuse me
While I kick the stones
You attempt
To lay before me
And
Trip me
From this beat
These hot coals
They burnt all night
My body still
Retains the heat
I will not waste
My energy
In your fight
Time to lay
The ego down
Surrender
Is not defeat
To all the haters
The denominators
Filling heads
With shame
And
Fear
Have you turned
To see yourself
Today
You’re own reflection
In the mirror
Time for change
In perspective
My friends
Time to heal
Your broken hearts
So this world
Can evolve
Ascend
We as the collective
Humanity can mend
We cannot live
A life of lies
Fake people
And
Fake food
Always seeking
To be number one
Above the rest
Is just a poor
Negative attitude
Internal peace
It can’t be bought
True wisdom
Can’t be taught
One must endure
To learn the lessons
Experience is earned
As family,
Friends,
And
Foes
Each take
Their Karmic turn
There are wolves
In sheep’s clothing
Knocking
At my door
You can huff
And
You can puff
But you can’t
Blow me down
No more
For
My foundation
Is in Creator
Not
The denominator
This world
Is not my home
The Crab
Carries it with her
Wherever
She may roam
I wish you
Peace,
Love,
And
Light
But
I’ll be traveling
On my own
